Request you to do your homework by critically reviewing and analyzing the idea. Responding to the questions, as found below, would help you to do so:
- Is the idea unique and niche?
- Does the product idea have a market at large?
- What are the various demographics the idea is aimed at?
- Identify the competition - from whom (Companies) and where (Regions)
- Is the idea being supported by people with enough experience in the respective domain/technology?
- What are the various requirements that would be needed, and how much, and for how long?
After reviewing the idea, request you to plan for a clear exit strategy with timelines and deadlines. Any venture should have an exit strategy and it is the sensible thing when uncertainty prolongs for a long time.
